Scalia: "F*** You"

What can I really say about this? He's obviously incredibly smart, but he lacks common sense and seems to have serious emotional issues.

BOSTON, March 27 (UPI) -- U.S. Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia startled reporters in Boston just minutes after attending a mass, by making a hand gesture some consider obscene.

A Boston Herald reporter asked the 70-year-old conservative Roman Catholic if he faces much questioning over impartiality when it comes to issues separating church and state.

"You know what I say to those people?" Scalia replied, making the gesture and explaining "That's Sicilian."

The 20-year veteran of the high court was caught making the gesture by a photographer with The Pilot, the Archdiocese of Boston's newspaper.

"Don't publish that," Scalia told the photographer, the Herald said.

Followup: Scalia is now saying he was doing a different gesture -- citing a source for the proposition that “the extended fingers of one hand moving slowly back and forth under the raised chin” means "I couldn't care less."

That's true, but that's simply not the gesture Scalia made. He flicked his hand towards the camera, a different gesture. Further, Scalia puncutated his remark with the Italian curse word "Vaffanculo", which roughly translates to F*** You and more precisely translates to "go take it in the a**"

Scalia is a pathological liar and his failure to take responsibility here is no surprise considering his results oriented jurisprudence.
